The California Bearing Ratio (CBR) Test is used to estimate the bearing value and the mechanical strength of highway sub-bases and sub-grades
It requires a reaction load or Kentledge, usually a JCB or any heavy plant on site already, or which can be provided.

The readings are recorded, added to the engineer’s laptop software, which then produce the CBR rating graph. Which is then sent direct to the client to be added to any report.
