Hand-dug Service Exposure Pits

Hand-dug pits are excavated manually to expose existing services or inspect ground conditions at shallow depth. Ideal for areas with restricted access or where machinery can’t be used in the instance of numerous vulnerable or unknown services maybe present, this low impact method eliminates any damage.

Once exposed, observations are recorded, samples can be collected, and everything is reinstated to leave the site as found. Findings are passed on for reporting and next steps.
